- [Christmas Dinner](https://cortlandloavesandfishes.org/christmas-dinner/): Local residents can be expected to gather in the parish hall of Grace Episcopal and Holy Spirit Lutheran Church for the annual free Christmas dinner. A roasted turkey and ham dinner with all the fixings, organized by Cortland Loaves and Fishes, is served from 3:30pm – 5:30pm. Participants are served a sit-down meal by board members and volunteers. Santa arrives at 4p.m. to give out gifts to the children. Gifts are donated by the Cortland Realtors Association and other generous individuals.

- [Empty Bowls](https://cortlandloavesandfishes.org/empty-bowls/): In the Fall of 2005, Cortland Loaves and Fishes held the first Empty Bowls Dinner. Now the annual (and sole) fundraiser for Cortland Loaves and Fishes, the theme of the dinner is to raise awareness of hunger, both locally and worldwide. A simple soup and salad dinner is provided with soups donated by local restaurants and individuals. Participants pick out and keep a handmade bowl created by local artists, teachers and students. Pottery, all of which is donated by local artists, are given as door prizes and auctioned during the event.
