Adult and student volunteers assisted in the delivery of food for Cincinnatus's summer school backpack program funded by Cortland Loaves & Fishes. Three pallets of food items and backpacks were delivered to support this program to assist those at-risk students facing food insecurity. Thank you volunteers!
VISIONS FCU presented a donation check to Homer Intermediate/Jr High school to help fund supplies needed for local student artists to create bowls that are for the annual Cortland Loaves & Fishes Empty Bowls fundraising event in November. Students across Cortland area districts create 250 bowls to donate to this event, lending their talents to the grassroots community and fundraising effort. This event truly speaks to the importance of community in making a difference. The joint effort between schools, Loaves & Fishes, and being hosted at a local hub for community and creativity, Cortland Repertory Theatre, all of these partners come together for the betterment of Cortland County.

Pete as he was affectionately known to many, served on the Cortland Loaves & Fishes Board of Directors during his tenure as Rector of Grace & Holy Spirit Church in Cortland. It is with true sorrow that we alert you of the passing of Regina Grantham on January 13, 2025. Regina, and her late husband Bob Grantham, were heartfelt supporters of the Loaves and Fishes program. Regina followed Bob on the Board at Loaves and Fishes and served multiple terms prior to her retirement from the Board in 2022. Regina was then recognized as Loaves and Fishes first Board Member Emeritus, a role she actively served in until her death. Loaves and Fishes, Grace and Holy Spirit Church and the Grantham’s have a long, connected and gratifying history. Cortland Loaves & Fishes served the Cortland Board of Realtors their annual Christmas Luncheon on December 6. The group donated toys and food to be distributed at the Loaves & Fishes Christmas dinner. The group also generated over $1800 in donations. Thank you Cortland Board of Realtors!

Over 200 guests were served for the Loaves & Fishes Thanksgiving Dinner. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this gathering an enjoyable feast for all who attended. A special shout-out to the Cortland Boys Basketball team who helped with the cleanup at the end of the dinner.
