Many of the hygiene items we use every day can be luxuries to those who can’t afford the basic necessities for personal hygiene care.  Recognizing that, Cortland Loaves & Fishes now distributes the basic personal hygiene items to those guests and patrons on a regular basis.  Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, shaving razors are just a sample of those distributed.

Cortland Loaves & Fishes has also partnered with the JM Murray Center to supply these items in a takeaway kit for our guests.    These kits are also distributed to schools in our Backpack Food programs to teach adolescents proper hygiene care.

Both agencies benefit from this relationship, CLF procuring the hygiene kits at a reasonable cost, and the JM Murray Center providing a meaningful task for their clients with disabilities.
